"A Murder at the End of the World" is a seven-episode limited series created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, starring Emma Corrin and Clive Owen. The series follows Darby Hart, a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker, who is invited to a retreat by a reclusive billionaire. When one of the guests is found dead, Darby must use her skills to prove it was murder before another life is lost. The series delves into themes of climate change, hacking, AI, and the tech industry, while also exploring a love story. On the production side, we built the sets from the ground up, and I particularly enjoyed sourcing the rich, wabi-sabi inspired hotel elements in deep blues and reds.
